In June 2006, a thread was created to be home for all the Madness poses kicking about Facepunch. This thread is where the original members of Madness Union met, and shared their Madness related works.

This thread lasted until April 2007, but in the end, Facepunch decided they'd had enough of it, and therefore locked it. Some decided to remake the thread, only to then watch moderators lock them, while Gunner Elite decided to set up a small forum on one of the many web sites that host forums for free. Everyone migrated to this forum, and the community grew a lot in the time it was used, attracting audiences from all over the internet as opposed to just a few regular visitors of Facepunch.

We're not sure specifically when, but sooner or later we decided to expand the community to discuss all forms of art, be it videos, 3D animation, music, or just drawings, rather than limitting it to anything Madness related.

Then in December 2007, Gunner Elite and Lemming77 paid for some web space and a domain name for Madness Union to live on, allowing it to grow into anything we want it to become. From there we grew into a great forum for socialites and madness fanatics where they can post their creations and get useful criticism and gratitude. Come in and see for yourself.
